Pianist Andrew Armstrong joins Performing Artists in Residence Edward Arron (cello) and Jeewon Park (piano) for a very special concert.
The afternoon’s program features:
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: The Marriage of Figaro Overture for piano four hands
Robert Schumann: F. A. E. Sonata for cello and piano and Johannes Brahms: F. A. E. Sonata for cello and piano
Franz Schubert: Fantasie in f minor, D. 940 for piano four hands
Dmitri Shostakovich: Sonata in d minor for cello and piano, Op. 40
George Gershwin: An American in Paris for piano four hands
Tickets $25 ($20 members, free for college students). There will be one intermission.
This performance is presented through the generous support of the Sea Island Foundation. Jeewon Park performs on a Steinway & Sons piano, provided through a special arrangement with the firm.
