Print Room Pop-Up: Tree Portraits
Sunday, March 1, 2026
1–3 pm
Free. No registration required.
For accessibility questions, call 413 458 0570.

This month’s First Sunday Free is inspired by Trees and Seeds of Life, Aboubakar Fofana’s outdoor sculpture for the Ground/work 2025 exhibition. Like people, each and every tree is a little bit different, with a different number of rings, a different configuration of branches, and a different density of leaves. If trees are like people, can a tree be the subject of a portrait? At the Manton Study Center for Works on Paper, we say yes. Drop in to this pop-up exhibition of “Tree Portraits” to enjoy a special selection of prints, drawings, and photographs that spotlight trees.
