Accomplished pianist Umi Garrett plays a program showcasing the harmonic evolution of the piano repertoire from the 18th to 20th centuries. Beginning with a Mozart sonata that sounds shockingly ahead of its time, the concert moves into Claude Debussy’s modal tones, Nikolai Kapustin’s jazz-inspired harmonies, and ends with Juilliard-trained and local composer Stephen Dankner’s dynamic and innovative Etudes.

Tickets $20 ($16 members, $14 college students, $10 children 17 and under).
