Two leading Caribbean scholars, Patricia Mohammed and Marsha Pearce, introduce two of the region’s pioneering painters, Isaiah Boodhoo and Wendy Nanan, both of whom are descendants of indentured workers who were brought to Trinidad from India in the nineteenth century.
A 5 pm reception in the Manton Research Center reading room precedes the event.
